Safety, Support & What to Expect
Behavior & Supervision
Yanna leads each session with small-group supervision, clear expectations, and support from trusted activity helpers when needed. Children are expected to follow directions, stay with the group, and treat others with kindness and respect.
Clothing & What to Bring
Families should check each session’s details before arrival. Depending on the activity, children may need a water bottle, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, a NUT-FREE snack, allergy medication, or other personal items listed before booking.
Secure Check-In & Location Safety
Children are checked in at the session location and remain within the planned activity area. Important location or pickup updates will be shared with families as needed.
Medical & Allergy Coordination
Parents/guardians should share allergies, medical needs, medications, and any important care notes before the session. Yanna’s Field Trips Co. is nut-free, and emergency contacts must be provided before participation.
After the Field Trip:
Keep the Conversation Going
After each session, families can keep the experience going with simple conversation, reflection, and creative follow-up at home. These prompts help children share what they enjoyed, what they noticed, and what they may want to explore next.
Discussion Prompts
Some children share every detail right away, while others need time before they can explain what they experienced. Families can ask gentle, open-ended questions like what felt fun, what surprised them, what they tried for the first time, who they connected with, or what they would want to do again. The goal is not to quiz them, but to help them feel proud, heard, and connected to the experience.
Creative Follow-Up
After a session, children may continue processing the experience through play, art, storytelling, or questions that come up later. Families can support this by inviting children to recreate a favorite moment, draw something they noticed, explain a game or activity in their own words, or connect the field trip to something they see at home or in the community.
Feedback & Contact
Parent feedback helps shape future field trips. Families are encouraged to share what their child loved, what felt helpful, what could make the experience smoother, or what kinds of activities they would like to see next. Questions about policies, booking, pickup, or individual child needs are always welcome before or after a session.

How do I pay for the session?
Payment details are provided during booking. When online registration is available, families can pay securely through the booking portal before the session. Tips are optional and go 100% to our activity helpers.
What is your refund policy?
Families who cancel 24 hours or more in advance may reschedule or receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable. If Yanna’s Field Trips Co. cancels due to weather, low enrollment, or unforeseen circumstances, families will be offered a reschedule or refund.
What happens in bad weather?
If weather affects an outdoor session, families will be notified as soon as possible. Depending on the activity and location, the session may be moved indoors, adjusted, rescheduled, or canceled. If Yanna’s Field Trips Co. cancels the session, families will be offered a reschedule or refund.
What should my child bring?

What are your behavior expectations?
Children are expected to stay with the group, follow directions with support, treat others with kindness and respect, and participate safely. If a child’s behavior becomes unsafe, disruptive, or prevents the group from functioning, a parent/guardian may be contacted for early pickup. Yanna’s Field Trips Co. has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or physical aggression.

Families will receive contact information before the session. If you need to reach Yanna during the field trip, please call or text directly. Important updates about location, pickup, weather, or your child’s needs will also be shared as needed.
